SX009

The SX009 interface connects a general purpose computer to the Honeywell® LCN allowing it to read and write process data on Honeywell® controllers connected to an LCN through Network Interface Modules (NIM’s), Highway Gateways (HG’s), or Application Modules (AM’s). It is used for data acquisition, supervisory control, or console replacement.

The SX009 interface is a rack mountable unit that connects to the LCN via a MAU and to a Windows computer via Ethernet. The Ethernet link is UDP and it is dedicated to the one task. A CPU in the interface unit manages the sending and receiving of tokens and the sending of data messages. A Windows service links a user application to the interface through OPC. The user application and the SX009 Windows service communicate through shared memory. A diagnostic program is available to monitor and control the activity of the service.
